Adidas threw an invite-only party to press bloggers in Shoreditch this Thursday to celebrate the upcoming Blue Collection, scheduled for release in December. In a space above the Old Shoreditch Station on the corner of Kingsland Road and Old Street, creative minds and internet warriors met, cameras at the ready, to expose the new collection. Among the evenings free Budvars and swapping of business cards was an innovative collection, playing up to some of the abstract fashion styles of 80s sportswear for the outerwear, while modelling the new shoes on the early days of skateboarding fashion, combining hi-tops, contrasting colours and trademarked with the ever present Adidas stripes. All in all, a strong collection with the original Adidas flavour sporting an individual twist on the conventions of casual clothing.
