Thomas Pepler.

We are constantly on the lookout for great photographers who offer something a little bit 'out-there' and Thomas Pepler is no exception. We were delighted when he e-mailed us with a few of his best pictures and his wonderful website.

We are completely in love with the last picture in this post, so much so that we want it framed. Just gorgeous!

You can view more shots from Pepler's extensive collection here.

If you or anyone you know is a talented photographer, artists, graphic designer then please e-mail info@deerbrains.com.

We are seeing some amazing AW'11 collections springing up and this one from Elecronic Sheep is no exception, with their signature graphic style full of patterns and interesting shapes these scarves and hats are perfect for the upcoming months.

Feature: X C V B Clothing.

XCVB was only launched 4 months ago and have already have a good string of dope designs. Founders Tommy Moore and Jay Jazz Hope aren't trying to narrow the brand into any particular style or attach themselves to a specific genere. They draw their inspirations from anything and everything which we think is a great, more natural movement.

They are currently working on their A/W range which will include jumpers, jackets, shirts and lots more wonderful things. The first part of the range will be dropping in about 3 weeks.

Keep an eye on thier website for more information here.

Adjoa Osei’s capsule collection, Adapt is an effortlessly chic array of hand finished jersey vests, loose fitting tops and bright maxi skirts all emboldened with a signature woven West African print detail.

The key focus of the both the collection and the brand is to enhance everyday pieces with African print, creating an ‘experimentally classic’ look for women who appreciate well placed accents of colour and detail without compromising on their simple, clean lined staples.

Feature: BB Manik.

So, what are you all about?
I rap, sing and produce. I'm the CEO of Raw Riddim Records & also have a clothesline debuting later this year. My official debut album (as "B.B. Manik & the Lightning Powered Manatee) will be available in Autumn. Til then, I'll be touring throughout the country (including some festival appearances with Rolf Harris).

Who inspires you?
My two main inspirations are Michael Jackson and Pharrell Williams. I love how both of them take elements of different genres to create perfect pop music.

Who have you toured with?
I've toured with JME, Tomb Crew & Wiley to name a few, but Rolf Harris is the most famous artist I've ever toured with. He probably gave me me the biggest exposure I've ever received, as it was thanks to him I played on the main stage at Glastonbury last year. I should be playing a few festivals with him again this year.

Who was the best artist you've collaborated with?
The best artist I've worked with is Freezi. We have different styles on tracks, but we compliment each other & we always inspire friendly competition in one other. I think it means we bring out the best in each other & that ultimately means the music is better. The best artist I've worked with is Freezi. Tour memories? Spill 'em...
There's no one tour memory that stands out particularly as being wild, but in the early days of being in Tomb Crew, it was insane. We were all balancing full time jobs with gigs booked around the country at all hours of the morning. It taught us important it was to grind & stay humble. I'll never forget those times, they really helped shape the artist I am today.

Artist Feature: Tinhed

Our lovely friend Tinhed AKA Chris Wright has been a master of arts for quite some time now. We took a quick 5 minutes to catch up with artist and show you his off beat and superb work.

Who are you? What have you been up to?

Hey my name is Tinhead im 25 and I live in Oxford. Im an Illustrator. Today I'm doing quite good im still recovering from getting ready for an exhibition I had last week where i erected a great big shed hung loads of work off of it only to smash it at the end, the idea being that everyone takes a free piece of work as most people that say they're gonna buy stuff off me at exhibitions are lying! So I thought I may as well give it away for free and have fun doing it, the only thing is the bouncers just thought someone had let a madman into the place with a crowbar.

What was your first ever creation?

My first creation would probably have been dinosaurs vs areoplanes i still got em today. i drew these on those old style printing paper the ones with holes in the sides, i was obsessed i couldnt get enough. Dad used to bring em home from work and i used to draw these retarded scenes, dinos attackin planes. i still steal his printer paper to draw on, i guess some things never change.

Your most famous work?
I think most people know for the work ive done with FOALS but i have done many more numerous exhibitions im in the process of completeing an advert for Grolsch in Australia as well as many small projects zines and tattoo designs to very small silly projects and editorial work.

Who inspires you?

I would say things that inspire me are definately not other artists its usually outlaws, failures degenerates fucked up moviestars, all the wrong things really. i have great admiration for failure.

Tinhed has recently added a rad tote bag and some tees to his shop that you can purchase here. We literally cannot wait to get our hands on the bag - review will be up soon.

Hugo Lugo

Hugo defines his work as two main aspects of human nature: the idea of subject as a representation, and representation itself. I´m interested in what can be said at the cross points of disciplinary conventions on drawing, painting and photography. I look between the lines of these formal investigations for the possibility of a content that goes beyond the self-referential, to suggest something more profound, even if it´s only from a surface.

His work as been shown in major cities all across the globe, including Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Paris. We absolutely love this concept and we hope you do too.
