Sneak peek new collaboration. Mary Katrantzou X Erik Madigan Heck. The Surrealist Ideal.

Mary Katrantzou the upcoming designer of the moment, known for her trademark bold graphic prints and vibrant colours making her collections standout among the designer crowd. Storming last seasons runways with her floral fragmented prints inspired by garden landscapes. We now get to see a sneak preview of the collaboration between Mary and Erik Madigan Hecks showcasing her Fall Winter collection and Hecks photography.

The pair have already collaborated twice before for Mary's previous collections from 2011, yet this shoot brings something new to the table by stepping away from a stylistic approach and entering a far more unusual ordeal.

Taking influence from Catholic iconography, Parisian Surrealist painters and Greek mythology the collaboration the outcome is dreamlike, surreal and in places a little odd. Yet is a stunning example of how innovative and imaginative imagery within the fashion industry can be.

The collab is a 14 piece collection of artwork and debuts today in Nomenus Quarterly.
