Real Men Swear
Nothing quite like the combo of wordplay, men's street style and a spot of unexpected and hilarious profanity to make us smile. Real Men Swear ("another fucking menswear blog") is the brainchild of designer/writer Michael Kiser and illustrator Craighton Berman and has got that formula down, straddling both a hint of mockery and obvious love for men's fashion. We like.

Bacardi Turns 150
2012 sees BACARDI celebrate its 150th birthday – that’s 150 years of the backbone of some of the greatest parties thrown and an advocate of new music.
They've introduced new music artists to wider audiences throughout the world, demonstrating a commitment to supporting up-and-coming talent that is as strong now as when the brand was created in 1862.
Apparently, even 'planking' was invented in the presence of Bacardi...
2012 sees the launch of BACARDI Beginnings, which sees established artists mentor the best up-and-coming music talent and showcase their sound to wider audiences.
BACARDI Beginnings features three of the UK’s leading artists and producers in Friendly Fires, Mylo and Joe Goddard – each of whom has selected an up-and-coming artist.
The first opportunity the established artists will have to showcase their selected acts will be at a 150th birthday party thrown by BACARDI in London on 10th July.
Following the party the established artists will each be given a BACARDI Beginnings bursary that is to be used to showcase their chosen artists - whether that’s producing an exclusive remix, putting on a gig in an unusual location or creating a compelling collaboration.
Exclusive content, and news of the artists’ progress, will be made available right HERE.

Flickr Feature #79
Our Flickr Feature showcases unknown artists, photographers and illustrators that submit work to our Flickr group. We pick the 5 best submissions from the last 7 days to help the artists get exposure, it is open to anyone so feel free to submit your own work for the chance of it to be featured on the site!
Marco Barbieri
We found Marco's image quite relevant at the moment given all the banking scandals that are emerging yet again, his image brings thoughts of us and them. The customers of the banks and the bankers themselves left on their own separated from the majority through their actions.
Flickr
Benjamin Warner
Double exposures are often hit and miss unless you spend time thoroughly planning and waiting for the perfect light, we love the mood that Benjamin has created by getting it just right. The trees look as if they are on fire, brilliant!
Flickr
Asrul Dwi
We often find ourselves admiring the way in which light moves across a room as it comes in through doors left a jar or blinds half open, natural light can be a beautiful thing.
Flickr
Beryl Foo
It is said that a picture can speak a thousand words, in that case they can tell several stories. This illustration by Beryl has more than one aspect to it if you look closely.
Flickr
Victoria Lincoln
Our home town, we have a lot of love for Brighton and all its charms.
Flickr
This week we officially broke the 500 members mark which is great news! We are currently in the process of organising a giveaway for you lovely people so keep your eyes peeled as you could win some great prizes!

Currently Listening to: Erika Spring - Hidden (Jensen Sportag Remix)
It looks like the Nashville boys of Jensen Sportag have cast another of their smooth synth and guitar spells on a song that pleases our eardrums. This time round Brooklyn songstress Erika Spring (also known to many of us as Au Revoir Simone's frontwoman and Vogue's current Artist of the Week) has single "Hidden" transformed from its atmospheric dream pop origins into a salacious and breathy track suitable for all sorts of slow-motion bodyrolling.
Erika's self-titled EP drops on July 10th via Cascine, so click here to pre-order the vinyl if you already like what you hear.

Jeffrey Campbell at Lazy Oaf
Oh shitting hell, this amazing day just got better: our buddies over at Lazy Oaf revealed the two exclusive shoes they're releasing in collaboration with ever-epic brand Jeffrey Campbell. As you'd predict, they're not for the faint-hearted but for the typically bold Lazy Oaf girl in all of us and range in price from £90 to £150.
As with the first batch of their Underground creepers (which sold out in record time) these are out online only in very limited numbers. So if you just got your results back and need a congratulatory gift, you better get asking/demanding (and if you're just rich then here's to owning another pair of great shoes). The LO online store is also stocking other Jeffrey Campbells which you can click over to see here.
Go forth and obliterate your bank accounts, etc.
James Dodd Sunday Morning Sales
We recently came across Statement Images a site that offers a platform for a range of photographers and their work, it is inspired by curiosity and features a range of photographic styles and essays. The photo essays on show are some of the best we have seen which cover a range of subject matter, we have spent some time going through the site until we came across this ongoing series by James Dodd which documents car boot sales. We think it's an incredibly interesting subject matter as car boot sales can often be weird and wonderful places playing host to a variety of people. They form a level playing field for society, people from every background come together to haggle on bargains or clear outdated memorabilia from their homes. You can head here to see the rest of the series which is on going so keep a look out for new images in time.

Nicolette Clara
Nicolette has incorporated an interesting effect making her image incredibly vibrant, it reminds us of Purple Haze.
Kaometet
This image has a strong moody atmosphere drawing us in wondering what is beyond in the mist.
Sam Stockman
Familiar British summer skies.
Geoffrey Newmarch
Although listed as a snap by Geoffrey we have a love for geometric shapes within photography, the entire image is build up of neat squares and rectangles which is what caught our eye initially.
Flickr
Nelleke Verhoeff
Nelleke doesn't submit often but when she does they are often gems like the above!
Flickr
We are only 4 people away from hitting 500 members of our Flickr group! Tell your friends and spread the word of our flickr feature, we have been getting a great response in the group itself and kind emails from the people featured. We are planning a photo related giveaway soon but we have to hit 500 members of the flickr group first.
