The simple idea behind this self-initiated project was to play with the letter F since it's the first letter of ’flower’ but also of ’Fraktur’, which is the German word for blackletter.

F is for Flower

Paper Chain Type.
The concept betweet this piece of art is simple, so simple that we wish we had thought of it.
For the 2010 edition of Getxophoto we thought of leisure, which is the theme of the festival this year, and as the leisure is what people do on the free time we thought to represent it with something that will take us a long time to do so. As in the poster with the logo done in cut paper, folded and photographed we created the typeface that we call it "Paper Chain Type" as strings of paper dolls we did as a child.

Pin sharp, moody and the lighting is spot on to top it off. Nice work!
sealegsuk

Neta Dror
Captivating, more great work from Neta!
Christopher Martinez
Nice shapes from the model that are complimented by the harsh backdrop.

David Swailes
I dont think this would be achievable again which is why this is brilliant!
Helkholy
We love the detail of the beard, these are really simple but brilliant!
Jillian Camille
This is really Primeval, we aren't sure if its a multiple exposure of there is some dev burn but it has added so much to this image. It works brilliantly in giving the image a pre-historic aesthetic.
Falco Verholen
We aren't sure how this was created but we love the contrast of the shapes against the dark background, the subtleness of the people in the image is nice too.
Joeseph John
We really like how Joe has taken the emphasis away from the person by leaving him blurred, this is un-natural for us as humans looking at another human. We expect the person to be sharp and in focus, here there is a sense of anonymity as his face isn't recognisable.

We found something intriguing about this photo by richard, not sure if its the reflection or whatever it is but it made us look twice which warrants a feature.

There is something fascinating about the human body and water so when these two things come together in one photo it creates something that the human eye is drawn too.

This reminds us a lot of the work of William Eggleston, a great photographer and a pioneer of colour film photography. This can only be a good thing.

Phillipp Bartz
We have noticed that our flickr group has a large amount of photos of girls, not that this is a bad thing especially when they are as good as this! We like how soft this is, it shows the delicacy of women. We also like how he left the dust marks in, not sure why though.

Water colour paintings are amazing but its rare to see anything other than an amateur landscape painting done using it these days, I think we are right in saying this is the first water colour we have had in our flickr group. We love this!

We would quite like this up on our wall, this piece makes us think of twins trying to separate themselves from each other by adding subtle differences to their style/appearance.

Unexpected tales (no real name given)
This photo is quite clinical in a retro way, we cant help but think it must be what its like to be on morphine whilst at the dentist. The photographer has recreated a Cindy Sherman photograph and plans to do a series.
