Bacardi Turns 150

2012 sees BACARDI celebrate its 150th birthday – that’s 150 years of the backbone of some of the greatest parties thrown and an advocate of new music.

They've introduced new music artists to wider audiences throughout the world, demonstrating a commitment to supporting up-and-coming talent that is as strong now as when the brand was created in 1862.

Apparently, even 'planking' was invented in the presence of Bacardi...

2012 sees the launch of BACARDI Beginnings, which sees established artists mentor the best up-and-coming music talent and showcase their sound to wider audiences.

BACARDI Beginnings features three of the UK’s leading artists and producers in Friendly Fires, Mylo and Joe Goddard – each of whom has selected an up-and-coming artist.

The first opportunity the established artists will have to showcase their selected acts will be at a 150th birthday party thrown by BACARDI in London on 10th July.

Following the party the established artists will each be given a BACARDI Beginnings bursary that is to be used to showcase their chosen artists - whether that’s producing an exclusive remix, putting on a gig in an unusual location or creating a compelling collaboration.

Exclusive content, and news of the artists’ progress, will be made available right HERE.
