NVMBR SS/12 drop

NVMBR have been going from strength to strength since their initial releases, coming straight out of Bristol they have a strong roster of representatives from the likes of dj's JMT,  Discord, Fred V & Grafix (hospital records). What we like about NVMBR is they listen to the people that buy and wear their items, this has seen them produce some nice graphic and pocket T's along with a 5 Panel.

Head over to their website to see all their items and to purchase.

Fortyounce was founded in October 2010 by Dean and Sam. A graduate of Fine art and a current Graphic design student at art school.

This is high on our list of favourite independent brands. A refreshing mix of good quality design work, imagery and video...These guys clearly know what they're doing and have planned their approach well.

Alexander McQueen - Spring/Summer 2011.

Pomp and Circumstance, the spring/summer 11 offering from Alexander McQueen, is the first menswear collection produced under the artistic direction of Sarah Burton. Drawing on the design house's DNA, themes of photographic print, exclusive fabrics treated unusually and the skull motif are ever present. The aristocratic and military tailoring traditionally associated with Savile Row is juxtaposed with elements of street style and workwear.

Available at Oki-Ni.

Victate Summer '11

We were thrilled to receive a t-shirt from Vicatates newest collection which we absolutely love here at Deer Brains. After buying this bag a few months ago we were keen to find out more about this up and coming brand...

Our new standard of tees, weighing at a premium 215gsm ringspun tubular body, full neck and shoulder taping 100% cotton T-shirts is really something we are proud of. This is compared to our previous 160gsm ringspun non-tubular body, neck taped, tapered sleeves. The fit is a tiny bit more regular compared to our previous tees but we love it, the photos below are those tees. Some might think why we decided to get heavier when its now summer and getting warm, but we believe people will really love the quality of these new tees and the extra weight doesn't turn it into a down-jacket, it just feels nicer and drops well on the body.

After receiving their crocodile print tee we were very impressed with the quality of the material as they state the quality of their new tees and extra body feels nicer against the skin and drops well on the body.

Coming from a design background we were also loving their business cards with quality print and card material with little raised embossed V's...We are excited to see where this brand develops as every drop so far has been stepping up from strength to strength.

Other t-shirts in the latest drops are as follows:

Coffin On Cake Press Day AW11

The lovely people over at Coffin On Cake PR had us in for their press day last week, and it was pretty damn ace. Tucked away in a gorgeous brick-feature building in Soho, the Coffin On Cake team showed us some of the best from the brands they represent.

They cover everyone from bright underwear makers Pull-In and Ripcurl to the giant Surfdome group of lifestyle brands.

We particularly loved Fallen, one of their newest clients, and their brand of sharp skate-wear. They run NGO Skateistan, the world's first co-ed skate school for children in war conflict zones (based in Afghanistan).

The slick, biker-inspired mens and womenswear from Alpine Stars also caught our eye. They marry clean lines with sixties detailing in a way that creates timeless style. You can check out a great editorial featuring some of their piece's in this month's Notion Magazine too.

Overall we had a great day at the Vinyl Factory, and are saying another huge thanks to everyone at Coffin on Cake for being so great and taking care of us as we cooed over our favourite pieces.
