Complex Geometries AW'12

While the look of complexgeometries is distinctive, every aesthetic choice is just as much a conceptual one. Using traditional streetwear as a starting point, the designs examine clothing as a consumer product and as a method of communication, implicating the garments themselves in the everyday lives that inspire them.

Emma Mulholland AW'12

I have been oddly fascinated with sharks from a young age so coming across a clothing collection dedicated to them is a dream come true. This is the forthcoming AW12 collection by emerging Australian designer Emma Mulholland who is renowned for drawing inspiration from the ocean.

Titled Tropical Rebel, this range sees an electric blue and pink Great White print take on jeans, dresses, jersey and a matching skirt and jacket combo. With tie dye, black chokers and bleached locks, it will come as no surprise that the collection was inspired by 90's grunge, specifically referencing both Courtney Love and The Craft. Designs are already available to purchase at The Grand Social. I'm having difficulty trying to decide what I like the best but the Great White Jeans and leather jacket are strong contenders.
