"Detroit Lives"

Palladium are continuing their quest to explore hidden, forgotten and abandoned places in urban environments. Their latest being "Detroit Lives" features Jackass star Johnny Knoxville, who takes viewers on an "off-the-beaten path" exploration through the city to discover if there's more to Detroit than the scenes of destruction and abandonment that it has become known for.

Once the fourth-largest metropolis in America—some have called Detroit the Death of the American Dream. In this 30 minute 3 part episode documentary, Knoxville discovers a DIY paradise full of artists and entrepreneurs who view the abandoned "D" as a raw space where young people can create community and start rebuilding their city from the inside out. A burgeoning class of young people are inspiring each other by using the cities 'disadvantages' as opportunities. His hosts include notable Detroit punk band The Dirtbombs and hip-hop artist Black Milk.

A very interesting and inspiring viewing.

Maharishi x Palladium Preview for SS11

Maharishi have released their Summer 2011 look book, showcasing a collection entitled ‘Theatre of War’ which takes inspiration from 1940s North African desert military. While highlighting military inspired staples along with some more elaborate pieces, the look book also gives a sneak peek at some interesting collaborative projects with heritage boot brand Palladium.
Palladium made boots in 1947 for the French Foreign Legion, who fought in the deserts of North Africa, making for a logical partnership between the two brands. While all models in the Maharishi look book wear Palladium boots, a unique item in the collection is the ‘Palladium Compatible’ Fixed Custom Snopants. These pants have been designed to be the perfect length and fit to complement Palladium’s signature ‘Baggy’ boot. The custom Snopants finish high on the ankle and can attach to the boot via Palladium popstuds on the inside ankle of the pant. Plans are also underway for the two brands to create a co-branded boot for Summer 2011.
