J.W. Anderson
Oki-ni have some really nice items just show up on their online store however amidst Raf Simons, NN.07 and Hobo their was one collection that really stood out for us, J.W.Anderson.
Never heard of him? J. W. Anderson made its debut at London Fashion Week in September 2007 with a menswear collection characterised by the use of real insects in jewellery.
Yes.....real insects.
A dark, Rasputin-inspired autumn/winter 2008 collection soon followed, before Anderson made his breakthrough with the highly anticipated spring/summer 2009 collection, An Eye for An Eye. Something worth google-ing.
JW Anderson's Fall Winter 10 collection represents a scrapbook of thoughts based on the notion of the SAINT and the ASSASSIN, as well as the LOVE and HATE in the accessories collection - rings reiterate a struggle between aggression and romanticism. It's always nice to slip those biblical references in there.
The t-shirt collection in itself is something to be admired. Well that's open to debate but we're fans. It looks like tassles are in. The assorted key chain is a keeper although I know people who would don that on their neck.
Applaudable.
