Babalon

So recently we came across new and upcoming Bristol based brand 'Babalon'. We don't usually do this but we were pretty taken back by how quality the prints were that we decided to get them shot in a studio just so you can see what we were so impressed with when they arrived on our doorstep.

Design wise it's hard to say where you can draw inspiration from to create a print of a unicycling wrestler wearing a sea weed cap or a mechanical themed mexican skull emblem, regardless we're big fans and can't wait to see what Babalon conjures up in the near future. Whatever it is, we'll keep you posted.

Moog Royale New Drop

One of our favourite UK street wear and lifestyle brands Moog Royale have had just released a pair of quality tees limited to 100 hand screened prints per design. That's 200 tees. That's not that many if you're as popular as Moog Royale.

Check the drop below, images speak louder than words.

We've got a lot of respect for brands that showcase impressive rosters of iconic prints and Moog Royale fits the bill. Check out more of their collection here.

Unequal Balance

Unequal Balance recently dropped a monster of a t-shirt collection. Reasonably priced around the £25 mark, each t-shirt is hand screen printed on a custom pre shrunk tee with a loop back neck label and boasting high quality. Let's not ignore the fact that the designs themselves are a great play on existing logos and brand references mixed with unique fresh designs. All in all a worthy addition to any streatwearing individual.

New Moog Royale Drop

Our lovely friends over at Moog Royale have just brought out a new limited edition range of tees. The signature Moog crown logo is now embossed in gold on a black background, and each of the 100 made (yes, they're only 100 of these babies) will be tagged with its unique number. Each is also screened by hand, which adds a really nice touch.
We love the individuality of the range, and the way Moog never compromise their selectivity. To grab one of these simple and awesome designs, head over to the Moog Royale site.

Beggar Thread

Let us introduce you to another exciting emerging UK brand, Beggar Thread.
The latest drop showcases three continental fit, gildan heavy tees, Forever Real, Edwardian Portrait and Hourglass. We're not going to lie...we want Edwardian Portrait and Hourglass so bad especially seeing as they're both under £15 each and profits of the Edwardian Portrait tee go to assisting disaster relief in Japan.

Nice.

God's Prey X Daniel Palillo FW11 Collaboration

We LOVE this! God's Prey's  Fall/Winter 2011, Never Never is Forever collection is a huge collaboration between God's Prey and Finnish designer Daniel Palillo. The Collection is set to arrive in stores in August and is a fresh approach to Palillo's oversized signature t-shirt and hand-drawn artwork using a God's Prey t-shirt body and leaf print. All in all a fantastic combination all made and printed in Los Angeles.

If you know DEERBRAINS you'll know we're really in God's Prey and quite rightly so when there's really nothing on the high street like it.

PREFAB 77

Seeing a little informative email come in notifying me of the latest from Prefab 77 made our day.
Unfamiliar? Well maybe you're more familiar with the team's artwork being displayed on cricket bats, walls and canvas.

The Newcastle based trinity that is Prefab 77 have displayed some huge installations the first of which was displayed in Kentucky (the state not the fast foot chain) and themes of anti-establishment and other political statements run consistent in the collections.

Their latest tees are screen printed on American Apparel fine jersey standard fitting cotton for those wanting the technicalities of manufacture.

So, check your wallet, paypal, online banking, whatever. If there's £35 in there waiting to be spent prepare to make a wise investment in their latest works, the 'Heist' and 'Flowers' tees. A little bonus, both come with a reflective sticker hangtang, and are folded around a signed, screenprinted Prefab 77 poster.

J!NX

Not all of us at Deerbrains have always been involved in the online / blogging community. Once upon a time one of used to work at GAME. It wasn't an unknown fact that the store didn't really attract the most 'fashionable' of individuals...most likely because the majority of gamers didn't really care who Vivienne Westwood was and is. It was usually a daily chore to spray the entrance with air freshener too to repel the lingering smell many brought in from too much gaming and not enough washing.

If only they knew about J!NX.

Finally a solution to the unfashionable gamer's needs... apart from the hygiene issue....that's up to you.

J!NX is based on comic book, geek and retro video game culture and the brand incorporates three core collections (Identity, Classic and Special). It's bigger than t-shirts and apparel though, it's a whole community! They're even expanding the Identity collection with cut and sew models in the light of 'retro Americana' featuring trousers, outerwear, sweaters and flannel shirts.

Each of the lines focuses mainly on menswear with a small selection of bespoke womens tees with regular fits, fitted or v-neck cuts in ring-spun cotton.

Their online community alone has 600,000 members who are passionate about not only the brand but gaming as a whole, the driving force of the brand itself.

Trust us, you don't want to mess with a hardcore gamer.

(P.s. I'm getting a PS3 this Christmas...I better schedule in bath time)
