Burial Kindred EP

Burial is an elusive London-based producer known for his original sound founded in the more traditional dubstep/future garage genre. Let's not confuse him with the travesty that is popular dubstep represented by artists like Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Nero.

If you want a generic bass-filled drop then Burial won't be your cup of tea, but if you are into the likes of Four Tet, Thom Yorke or Kode 9 then Burial is for you. Kindred follows on from his incredibly well received Street Halo EP which was released last year, and is true to the sound of his previous releases but shows a much greater progression.

The phrase 'quality over quantity' sums up this release perfectly; it is captivating in a way that drives you to zone out and take your mind elsewhere. "Loner" is our favourite track on this release: you should sit back and do nothing to really appreciate it.

There are so many aspects to it, it calls for multiple listens to really catch everything. Kindred is out now on Hyperdub and is available to stream and purchase from their webstore HERE.
